Go to your merchants and get adaptors to take you to whatever size you are working in.
Adaptors are available in End Feed, Solder Ring and Compression.
End feed and solder ring are normally 'brands' and, as such, are expensive.
The best way, cost-wise is to use a 35mm compression coupler with an imperial olive such as a 35mm Kuterlite 978C.
Very few - if any - merchants will have 11/4" to 35mm adaptors on the shelf - other than BSS or Pipeline Centre, both of whom will have binoculars on the counter and see you coming a mile off!
