I want to fit a slimline shallow shower tray and have been recommended a 90mm fast flow shower waste to cope with the 12l per minute shower. The waste pipe has about 30 feet to go with a bend in it and has a drop of about 12". Is it likely that the lack of drop / distance will mean the waste won't cope and back up flooding the tray and therefore bathroom?

You should fit cleaning access points to a run that long - even if they are hidden - so long as you know where they are ;) It`s the slow buildup of gunge that`s gunna be a problem in future

Don't know your layout but if at any point you have a bath connected to the same waste as the shower, then an in-line non-return valve would be a good idea (pointing the right way of course).
