The fuse on PCB keeps blowing, it is not due to any temp overheating. This happens more when the system is cold, but not always.
Have ruled, out air pressure switch, Fan thermostat, overheat cutout.

I am suspecting it is the Thermostat assembly or electrode assembly.

Can either of them cause a inrush current.

Thanks

As a DIYer you should not be touching the APS.

You should call a gas reg engineer to check the safety.

Pumps are the usual cause of blowing fuses.

I am not a diyer.

just posting a question for analysis. as the pump was changed and it made no difference.

From my electrical knowledge. It is a in rush current and trying to find what is causing the quickest path to deck or which device has now got the low impedance.

As the fault is intermittent, will not fail regularly. I have analysed that it is when the system is cold and on fire up of boiler can cause the fuse to trip.
