Hey,

Moved house in summer, no heating on.

Put the heating on the other day and this boiler is firing up OK, but then after a few minutes fires down. Then up, then down.

Every few minutes between up/down.

??

Are an owner or tenant?

Do the rads get hot?

Some room thermostats allow cycling to be set (eg; every 6 to 20 minutes).
What stat is fitted?

Owner. Rads get hot yes. Hot water is fine, will run for ever (I thought it might be overheating).

No stat fitted (yet) - just using the mechanical 'pin' timer built-in.

It sounds as if the gas settings may need adjustment but not a DIY job.

A proper service might be all that's needed!
