Since you have not described the problem in words and the pictures are not visible to me I cannot help.

just uploaded to a different image site....should view ok now.

it leaks out the rear of the connection - see image. i am at a loss, the white tape does not help. the pressure is super low and it still leaks - i know the connection is the correct size for the pipe too.

Looks like a Philmac or similar make of end cap.

Get rid of all that PTFE tape and reassemble. That stuff has
no business on that type of compression fitting.

Make sure that the gripper and O rings go back in the correct
order.

Also make sure you have the correct size/type of fitting
ie metric or imperial as the case may be.

Tried everything, even right-clicked the cross, went to properties for the URL of the picture, copied and pasted it into the address bar - still nothing.

Click the X and add to favourites. :D

Maybe use a tad more PTFE tape.

tried more tape, just got more spray in my face from a different angle....will try no tape tomorrow - but just envisage a gap and lots and lots of water.

here is the pics uploaded to another site for the wanting masses ;)

There should be an o ring somewhere! Used these a lot in Spain and they can be temperamental never needed ptfe or as the Spanish call it Teflon.
