Help..?

I have a new holiday home came fitted with
a new Morco GB24 boiler and a useless siemens wireless controller.

All I want is a Timer
and let the rad stats do the rest..

So I've got a Honywell ST9100c Timer No Therostat.!
don't want a thermostat

I've removed the siemens :)

Prob now

connect the Honeywell to the boiler like this
Live to Live
Nuetural to Nuetral
if that doesent work Link Live to No 1. in the honywell

tried both those, no joy
honywell is powered up ok both ways above.
but does not control the central heating ?

I think there must be another connection needed, but I don't know what.

there are 2x thermostat connectors left on the boiler unused this way.

I would have thought they were the on/off switch.?
But I Have No Idea How To connect the St9100c and make it work .as just a timer now..

I've studied the Honeywell diagrams but I'm just lost
Any one know how to make it work.?

Thank You

Are the 'rad stats' just TRVs? If so, the boiler will not stop running when all the rooms are up to temperature. It will carry on running until the boiler reaches the temperature set by the boiler thermostat. This is a WASTE OF GAS.

You need a room thermostat to stop this happening.

Obviously the person you spoke to at Morco doesn't know how their own product should be wired  ; or the Honeywell.

The Boiler wiring diagram (page 9) and the ST9100 wiring diagram are self-explanatory.

The rad stats are the std ones trv's
for the amount if tine I use the heating, I'm no to bothered about the gas.

prob with the useless siemens it works one day but not the next,
it switches heating on, but often doesent switch it off..
it's even come in in the night, and its not down to the lowest set point.!
I don't tryst it at all
I disable it when not here, to save gas..!

I just need to know
what conections on the Honeywell go to what on the boiler.!
all I want is a timer I can trust
the ST9100c will do fine,, if I could find out how to connect it properly
I've studied the diagrams but still nun the wiser.! :(

I can't work it out..
you can see from my Origional post how I was told to wire it..
but that doesent work.!

OK

Which Siemens did you have, and can you say how it was wired?

RDJ10RF

wirered L N + 2 wires to stat termilals in boiler
works but unreliable

I don't need a roomstat
I need to know What no volt terminals to conect
from my Honeywell ST9100c go to the boiler stat..

poss 2&4 but not sure and don't want to damage boiler.

L to L, and N to N.

The other two wires go to 1 and 4, either way round.

Do NOT insert any links between the terminals of the ST9100.

hi all
ok boiler works with above wirering
But I now need to install a wired room thermostat !
prob a Honeywell DT90e

any ideas on how to connect it using my Honeywell st9100c

at mo 1 & 4 on Honeywell go to the stat connections in the boiler.
I assume they run the program's.?

I thought as the DT90e is battery operated I could just put the 2 wires
from it into the boiler stat connectors.. instead if the ones from the st9100c

but just had a thought,
Then the st9100c will not run its program's will it..?

any help avail

Thanks

In place of the 9100c terminal 4 going direct to the boiler...

Instead connect 9100c terminal 4 to the new thermostat terminal A,

then take new thermostat terminal B to that same original stat connector in the boiler.

(The 9100C terminal 1 stays as it was, going to the boiler direct)

The DT90E has to be inserted in the wire from ST9100 terminal 4 to the boiler. Terminal A should connect to terminal 4; terminal B to the boiler.
