I have recently encountered a strange issue.

A home that I visited has a Worcester Greenstar Boiler installed. The owner was saying that even though they have now turned their central heating on and only have the water on 1st thing they have noticed that certain radiators still get warm during this period and the water is still piping hot some 12 hours later in evening.

Why would this be?

I would appreciate some advice on how to resolve these problems.

Thanks

There is a good chance the valve is stuck, on the side there is a small lever try turning the hot water and central heating on and off a few times and see if the lever moves or if you can hear the valve opening and closing.

Thanks for your help.

I managed to get the leaver to move and it moved back automatically when I turned the heating on but it doesn't seem to have sorted the problem.
So, I'm thinking that the valve might be stuck open inside.

Is this likely and how would I solve this without dismantling the whole thing?

I think you have gone as far as you can, it could be a sticking valve or actuator or something else completely , time to get someone in to look at it.
