How to measure water pressure and flow rate

I would like to change my shower mixer tap and shower head and there are different ones depending on how many bars of pressure I've got. Thanks for your advice. I would be grateful of someone can tell me if there is there a way to measure water pressure and flow rate. What instrument do I need and where can I get it.

Flow rate - either this (sometimes called a weir gauge) or a bucket and stopwatch.

For the my purpose, do i test pressure and flow rate with the hot and cold taps open fully?

Is flow rate measured in litters per minute?
