Could someone advise me as I have a cold water pipe leading directly from the mains supply to the upstairs toilet and cold tap. This pipe must be blocked as no water is being supplied to this room. All other taps and pipes are working ok. How do I fix this problem without pulling up the floorboards and replacing the whole pipe sections ?[/b]

Its unusual for the mains cold supply to be blocked...are you certain there's not an isolator valve hidden somewhere?
John :)

As John correctly says it would be unusual for a mains supplied pipe to be blocked I would have a look for a non-return valve or some kind of isolation valve, come back and let us know how you get on
