Ideal isar he30 boiler

Hi All,

I have a Ideal isar he30 boiler and its starting to play up. What happens is that everything is working fine for a while and then error meassage H E flashes and neither the CH OR HW works. I then turn the boiler off for 15mins then switch it back on and everything works again fine and it could last a day or sometimes it could 20mins. Anybody have any ideas what the problem could be.

Could be excessive voltage on the neutral to the boiler, could be PCB on the way out.

PCB problem.

Strongly suggest you rip this boiler off the wall.

Isars will eat PCB's at roughly 1 every 2 years at £200 a go.

Save yourself the problems and replace it now or go for
a maintenance contract and expect regular repairs.
