Need to replace a British Gas TRV

Bust the thermostatic valve in the bedroom trying to take it off. It's placcy, with british gas emblem on the top, prob installed 5-10 years ago at a guess.

Anyone with any idea what make British Gas used as would like just to get a new screw on top rather than replace the whole TRV and pipe parts/pin section.

I brought a cheapo make and the top didn't fit on well.

Can post some pics later if British Gas tend to use a variety of makes and a pic is needed to help identify!

They use ACL,Drayton, Invensys IIRC.

I replaced my ones with Drayton TRV4, following an advice on these forums a few years back. Cheaper plastic radiator valves from Drayton might fit too.

Ha, I happened to just find that post of yours!!

That's very handy then, I will get a Drayton TRV 4 then, look much nicer!

yup all BG bodies are same as TRV4
