Right Iv made a start on the speed fit droppers for this heating system. After knocked some plaster off i found the depth of the plaster was only 12mm. I was originally going to run the speedfit in 10mm trunking but found this sticking proud of plaster. I opted for some electrical sheathing and tacked this over it, works well I think. The pipes are now well below the plaster, only thing is really wanted to be able to pull the pipe out if it ever got damaged.[/list]

Ha yeah but going over it now it's not clear. I guess I'm asking is the sheathing ok (for electrical cable) I really wanted to use some tubing incase it ever needed replacing.

There's an old saying "you can't fit a quart into a pint pot" in other words if you have only got 12mm depth of plaster, it can't be done. Other than to chase the brick / block out a little to give you a bit of extra depth.

Also cover conduit / trunking with metal tape so that you or future occupants can use a detector before drilling or hammering into the wall to locate the pipes.
