Problem: heating working OK but domestic water only luke warm
UNLESS heating on - so needed to fire up CH for shower/bath.

Just had a new diverter valve fitted as remedy although problem persists!

Any advice would be appreciated - thanks all.

Firstly your model is not very super!

Do the rads heat up during hot water use after several minutes?

Why are you not calling whoever changed the diverter valve?

Not a bad boiler in its day a bit dated now though but easy enough to diagnose, have a look at the micro switch assembly and see if the spindle comes out when your run a hot tap and makes the micro switch, if it doesnt then you still have a divertor problem, also there should be a small plastic disc on the end of the spindle that presses the micro switch assembly it is common for these to fall off and it wont work without it
