Valliant Turbomax Boiler - No Hot water

Hi,

We have a Valliant Turbomax boiler, I think its a 824e.

Well we have no hot water.

When I open the tap, the water is cold, the boiler sounds like it is doing something, but not firing up.

The Central Heating is working fine. (I am getting no hot water even if the CH is on).

Can anybody advise whats wrong with it? I would like to know a little about it before I call somebody to repair it.

No, it has no lcd screen. the boiler is around 14 years old.

I am trying to find the manual, when I do, I will post the exact model number here

yes, black panel with green knobs and dial type timer. no electronic display, etc

Does the boiler work when you put the heating on ??
Are there any fault indicators flashing on the left side ??

The boiler does work when the heating is switched on.

No fault indicators on the left side.

Yes, I think thats it, 242e or something.

My bad. You said it could be the diaphragm in the DV. I thought that to resolve this would be to get a new DV??? am I wrong?
