Is the distance between the outlet pipes a standard size?
I have an old Aqualisa wall mixer that needs replacing.
What is the procedure for changing one of these?
NB: I'm going to be re-tiling.
I assume when I remove the old one I'll have a couple of 15mm hot and cold pipes sticking out.
Fancy having a go at changing it myself.
Hints and tips folks?? (with the exception of get a plumber)
Thanks!!

Thanks Desno13,
So do I just fix this, then attach the mixer later?

Fit the pipes so they are sticking out of the wall and then tile. They can be capped and the shower fitted along with the fixing kit at a later date if you wish.

No, not all pipe centres are the same. Remove your old shower valve then measure fro the centre of the pipe to the centre of the pipe.

Also, some showers connect to 15mm pipes via a compression nut and some via a threaded back nut with internal washer.
