Alternatives to velux roof windows

We are planning a kitchen extension early next year, which will have a flat roof but we will retain a small pitched roof over the existing, small kitchen.

Our plans show a couple of velux windows installed into the existing pitched roof but I was wondering if anyone had alternatives?

I am not overly concerned about being able to open the roofwindows, as will have plenty of openable windows elsewhere and had thought about a large single pane of fixed glass but was unsure how this could be fixed in place?

There are options depending on the tile you have, Klober make some vision tiles but you could look at using Sun-pipes if it is just a light issue and you aren't needing a view
