My house currently has black guttering and black painted wooden fascia. I want it all changed and was going to go for black again as I think white looks dirty quickly.
Black tends to have a 10 year guarantee whereas white is 20 or 30 years.
Does black fade?
Will I regret getting black?

Thanks for any replies.

Black can fade, white does seem to have the advantage of reflecting sunlight, so the UV in sunlight doesnt damage it quite so quickly.

Plastics manufacturers recommend their products are painted to offer protection against sunlight. (Which rather seems to defeat the object!)

Whoever invented square line guttering needs shooting.

Black - round every time if i had a choice.

Just don't go for gloss black, god that stuff is shyte. The quallity of foiling over the years has improved dramaticaly. your fascia will last a lot more than 10 years.

Once you go black...

ha ha....

Well decided on black for the front, which is in the shade anyway, and white for the back that noone sees and gets the sun!!
