Joining aluminium to plastic guttering

Hi,

I have got a mid terrace and have just replaced fascias and now need to do the guttering. As I am a mid terrace one side has rolled aluminium gutters and the other has plastic. My problem is how to joint the aluminium to my new plastic.

But them up and loads of silicone seems to be how it was done before!

Any suggestions.

Go to a decent pvc. suppliers and the will sell various connectors for guttering, but if your guttering is an old profile then it might be a case of a lot of mastic unless you are prepared to spend a lot of cash.

if there is an adapter get one, if not run the smaller into the larger on a bed of decent sealant and push down and fix the top edges to keep it down. or get a stopend for each gluethem together and cut out for the flow.
