Hi,

Looking for a bit of advice please. Roof repaired recently due to leak. I have a terraced house where part of my roof is attached to gable wall of next door property. Lead between the edge of my tiles and next door wall replaced and wall re-harled.

My question is leak seems to have been repaired but should there be "pointing" under the tiles and onto the new lead. Not sure if it was pointed before repair but it isn't now and there is a major draft now getting into loft.

Should this have been done as part of repair?

Many thanks,

Any advice/opinions much appreciated.

Under normal circumstances there would be no pointing between the tiles and lead.

Draughty lofts are good.

Thanks for reply, realise you need some airflow in loft, but I've had a conersion done and this is now son's room with storage at either side of it via doors and this is the reason I asked. Fairly drafty but door is well draft proofed.

Cheers.
