Sarnafil flat roof moving in high winds

Hi All,

I recently had my 38m2 flat roof reboarded and covered in Sarnafil.

Recently in the high winds, it seems to ripple and flap a bit, as though wind is getting between the membrane and the boards.

Is this something to worry about? It seems to have been mechanically fixed (I can see the fixings through the membrane) as opposed to being adhered.

The wife is worried that this whole thing is going to blow off!

I know nothing of Sarnafil or its fixing - perhaps you should contact the makers Sarnafil for further advice?

Hi Ree,

It's just one of the many brands of PVC roofing (single-ply).

Any idea if it's normal for these to flap a bit?

I'm thinking maybe it's just negative pressure over the membrane causing it to lift, rather than wind getting under it...?
