Tanking shower room drying time before tiling

Hi All

We`re waiting to have our shower room re-tiled after a damp problem. The plasterer has said it will take 6-8 weeks for it to dry. Can someone confirm if thats correct? Seems wherever I look on the web I see conflicting instructions for drying time allowance from a few hours to 28 days.
Anyone know?

I go with the "when it gets lighter, its dry" rule!

Once it looks even and light, its ready I find.

are you asking how long before you tank, or how long before you tile?
