I assume that the underfelt always goes under the cement fillett undercloak at the verge. Is the fixing detail always the same for tile or slate? Does the felt end at the face of the barge board or is it set a little back?

it should be set back from the mortar fillet unless you are using a dry verge system.

with dry verge the lathes and possibly the felt can finish flush with the undercloak.

The undercloak is bedded on, and then the sarking is lapped on top of it to close the cavity, but keep it about 75mm back from the edge, so that the verge mortar can stick to the undercloak
