advice on ladders external etc

i need to buy some ladders to work on the front of my house and i wondered what size would be best i need to get upto gutter height , The house is bog standard downstairs and up, are 8ft 6 ins each whith a 2 foot bay fascia . Do i go to a double or is a treble ladder better. I just want to get the right one , any tips best asking i thought thanks Nobby

How long do you want it to be when stored?
A triple ladder can be more versatile esp if the sections are removeable.
Do you want it lightweight and flimsy or stronger but more expensive.
Short folding ones are great for all sorts, but wont get you very high.
Other than that, you need to make sure you get the right length for your house - and if you have to get onto the roof it should probably go about a metre higher than the gutter level.
