Hi - Pressure on combi boiler from sealed system keeps dropping to 0.5bar which means i keep having to open the valve to get it working. When i increase pressure at only one bar the pressure valve of the boiler starts releasing water. What is the likely problem ? This has never happen before - normally i would have to increase the pressure significantly for the pressure valve to release water.
THanks
D.

or the prv is just passing and the increase pressure makes it do this more. why not rrelease all prssure cleane the prv valve seat and check the pressure vessel is fully charged.

Cheers Guys - Really appreciate your help.

So if the prv is just passing - i would be supprised due to only 1-1.5 bar of pressure. I would have thought it would take more before it would pass.

So how do i release all pressure from this potterton puma and how do i clean the prv valve seat ? Is this something a lay person  can do or should I call in specialist help

Thanks again and Happy Xmas to you both
