Purlin Move

I am looking at repositioning a purlin in my bungalow loft .One of the purlins is 2m from the ridge and the other is 2.3m from the ridge. The one that is 2.3m i will replace it with a new purlin 2m from the ridge to give equal head hieght on both sides of the loft The idea is to install the new purlin like for like then remove th old one any ideas

don't see any reason not to assuming both roofs are equal.
