Hi
I am after some advice on the best materials / products for weatherproofing a flat plywood roof. I want to replace a mesh cover for a rabbit run with a solid plywood roof to stop cats and such getting into the run. I was thinking of getting some exterior grade ply and making a roof with this. Given it is exterior grade, will a lick of paint be enough to stop it rotting, or do I need to felt it? It's only a small area, about 1.5m x 1.5m.

Thanks

the problem you have is you will get black mould underneath if you dont keep the ply dry this will happen over a winter

assuming your flat roof has a 1 in 30 slope just use shed felt with a good overlap

just make shure the roof is not within nibbling distance
