installing doorway into garage

hi, i am looking to knock through into my integral garage.

The only real problem ive come across is that the wall seperating the kitchen and garage is thermalite block with dot and dab on the kitchen side.

could anyone tell me if the thermalite block wall is strong enough to support the heavy fire door, and what kind of fixings can i fix the door frame with??

frame fixings, plug and screw, concrete screws are all ok to use.

the wall will support the door no problem.

the walls got several cracks in it and everytime ive tried to fix to thermashite it just pulls out??

you can get some fancy plugs&screws for therma blocks
most hardware stores sell them

trick is to drill slowly not like you want the job done yesterday
and if in doubt add some no nails to the plugs
