Hi
I am laying celotex in between the garage rafters,my question is do i need to leave a gap between the wall and celotex,or can i leave it flush against the wood.

you can leave a gap provided this gap can be vented otherwise it is best to solid fill, leaving no gap at all.

you will also need an external breather membrane and an internal vapour barrier.

...probably.

Thanks for the reply noseall , i was going to fill in the gaps with celotex 40mm and then cover that with THERMAWRAP ALUMINIUM FOIL BUBBLE INSULATION then but 2x1 battern over that and then plasterboard to the battern so creating a 1" air gap behind the plasterboard and the Thermawrap.
