Hi, when fitting expansion bolts for fixing timber plate under DPC are there any special considerations for making the bolts more corrosion resistant? (I know about wrapping the timber plate itself in damp proof material but now I wonder about the bolts..)

I have been looking at some expansion bolts which are goldish in colour and for all I know they could either be made of some clever corrosion resistant metal or who knows..

You don't need to worry about making the bolts more corrosion resistant as they are usually made from stainless steel and are then zinc or brass plated. I would say Sponge Bob Square Pants could use them without any worries.
