The roof of our conservatory (polycarb panels) is very green all over compared to others near us of a similar age. Why should this be the case and is there anything that can be done to prevent it?

How often do you clean it ?
I've cleaned mine a couple of times, but I've never seen anyone else do theirs and I know my next door neighbour definately doesn't do his!

Where they fitted the right way around?
Is this a low pitch?
Is this in shade?
Cheap sheets?
Every time you clean you remove some of the coating if you scrub hard or use strong detergent or chemicals - thus allowing the algae to come back quicker
