Covering exposed trusses

We are in the process of having an extension built to our single storey house. The extension will have a room in the roof.
The roof line matches our existing house but because of boundary issues we have had to indent the wall by about 12 inches part way along one side of the extension and the line of the guttering will be raised where the indent occurs.
The trusses are being fitted at the moment and we are unsure how to deal with the exposed truss ends for this indented section which exposes a significantly deeper (roughly x 2) thickness of the truss end than the rest of the extension. A deeper fascia board would do the job but perhaps not be the best solution aesthetically.
I hope I've described the situation clearly and would appreciate any advice/ideas how to effectively cover and protect the truss ends for this indented section. The extension is timber framed with block built outer wall. The existing house walls are rendered and painted and the extension will be finished to match.
All works have planning permission and are covered by a building warrant but this aspect does not seem to have been addressed in any of the plans produced.

Surely at the indent detail the brickwork will be higher as to meet the raised plate, meaning a shorter rafter but similar soffit and fascia detail?

Normally, of course, you would lower the roof line at the indent detail but you obviously need to maintain height for the loft room.
