Hi
I'm about to lay the tiles on my new garage roof, mono pitch to the front.
I understand that the mortar mix needs to be 1:3 cement and sharp sand.

My problem is what sort of quantity will I need to bed 6m curved mono ridge tiles and 3m length of verge?

Thanks

Dave

You may add a small amount of sharp sand to the mortar, when bedding exceeds a certain thickness, as sharp sand improves the strength and addresses some shrinkage issues.

You can not however use sharp sand exclusively. Use building sand mixed at 3:1.

6 x 25kg's sand plus a couple of bags of dust.

Thanks for that, Noseall

Just to clarify, if I do add some sharp sand would it be extra or within the ratios like 2.5 building sand .5 sharp sand 1 cement?
