As posted earlier tried out test roof and followed ready reckoners results but got a few discrepancies?
My measurments.
Span = 1076mm
Run = 538mm
Pitch = 30 degrees
Rise = 310mm
Ready reckoner
Common rafter:
seat 30 degrees
Plumb60 degrees
Hip rafter:
Seat 22 degrees
Plumb 68 degrees
Jack
edge 41 degrees
With the aid of the ready reckoner i got common rafter lenth of 621mm minus half the ridge which is 46mm giving me a final length of 598mm. When i put these together this worked out great but when i measured the rise it wasnt 310mm but 364mm????? Any suggestions?
Also my hips and jacks differed to what the ready reckoner suggested!
