Mark Forums Read option?

One for the Site Admin I guess, unless I've missed it, is there a Mark Forums Read option that many other forums have? If not why not?

What about the little bell things to the left in the index,'s are they any use, they seem to change after you read the posts, and if you hover on them it tells you if there are new posts.
