Hi

I have a roof terrace which is roughly 6.8m wide by 3.4m deep which is currently decked with a flat felt roof underneath. Its been like that for around 12 years but the decking has seen better days.

So whilst I rip up the decking I am thinking that I should do something with the felt. It is sound and water proof at the moment so I don't want to start ripping it out for no reason.

My question is therefore can I just buy a roll or two of capsheet with the cold adhesive they sell at Wickes and just lay that over the top? Will that help at all or am I just putting off the inevitable of having to replace the whole roof?

Cheers
