Hi Everyone,

I've moved into my first house and decided to landscape my garden recently and would like to build a fire pit / fireplace outside against a brick built wall with left over greystone. I would like to make this safe as possible because it will be about 2 1/2 ft. from a wooden featheredge fence and under a wooden pergola. Obviously the fire will be relatively small so as not to be dangerous around the wood. I've also been looking at fire cement, but embarrassingly  , i don't know how to use it. Do i use normal cement and then point with fire cement or use purely fire cement for the whole gettup.
What i'm trying to ask is: 1)will greystone be able to withstand the heat and, 2) how do i use the fire cement?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

Tom :D
