i have a pan tiled roof that has been felted years ago some of the felt has large holes in it and you can see daylight can i just put a patch of felt over the hole i dont think the roof is leaking is it normale to see daylight

Only Pantiles I`ve seen be in Tun Wells when I went there on our Outing and that was so long ago we took a steam train direct from home. 
I would guess they would be quite rustic and let light/ air in . Patch up the felt as you thought.
