Hi I wish to lay insulation on my concrete floor before i install electric underfloor heating. I have removed the old marley tiles and it has left a bitumen residue behind. It removes slowly with a scraper, does anyone have any better ideas as to removal.???? it is only an adhesive and not a dmap proof membrane as its only thin.

Sparky a scrape on coat of latex screed will cover the adhesive and provide a good subfloor for your insulation material.
The asphalt tile adhesive is thinned with spirits, so use any kind of solvent on it and you'll just spread the mess.
If I really had to get rid of the adhesive I would use a scarrifier and shot blast it and keep things clean and dry...but the latex screed will do the job.
