how do you go about getting a fall on guttering for water to run smothly

Fix one end lower down the fascia than the other?

Gutter does not really need a big fall - it will empty out of the outlet as it fills up

Ok so long as the fascia is level or at least tipping towards the outlet. Relying on the fascia being level can be ....er.... unreliable.

Do as others suggest - when you fix the third clip grab a spirit level and lay it between two clips - you will then know if you have some fall on it.
