just had a company in today to quote me for insulating my loft.i already have ancient insulation between joists,which is pretty thin.the guy told me they will lay new 200mm insulation across the top of my joists.is this the correct and safest way to do this or is this guy just doing it the easy way?
please help as i really dont want ripped off! |

It is common practice to lay insulation in two layers, cross bonded, i.e. 150mm between the joists and another 150mm across the tops and at 90 degrees to the joists. |
