Hi

I have just bought a 1930's semi that does not have a roof lining (not unusual for a property this age - so i'm told) my question is "can I do anything from the inside i.e. a DIY project or will I have to have a new roof? There are no problem with ingress of the elements at the moment.

One day you will need a new roof . Leave it alone until then just get loads of insulation on the ceilings . air through the tiled gaps is Good

If it a concern, have the roof re-fitted using mainly existing tiles and breathable membrane fitted with new battons. £3-5k depending on size.
