I'm looking for a labelling machine. The choice is overwhelming from Dymo, Brother, Brady, Kroy .....

I'd like one (or two) that would cover a wide range of applications e.g. office, storage trays, asset tagging, cable IDs, Core IDs, panel, board and J/B IDs, heatshrink, wraparounds....

So it must take a range of media cartridges tapes. heatshrinks....
Bar code and Grrek characters, electrical symbols I'd need as well.
There doesn;t seem to be one that does it all.

What labelling systems do you use and for what applications?

I would look at the price of the tapes to fit it first.
Rather than the machines.

I only have a small £50 Brother one, but the tapes are £12 each.

I have the brother PT7600, it does almost everything you want it to do, the best feature of it is the panel labelling feature and also the fact that the labels are laminated as soon as they come out of the machine. Most if not all dymo labvels are not laminated . The ionly thing it will not do is heatshrink sleeving, but unless you are using that daily i cannot see the problem.

Tried various dymo machines but tape is cack, adhesive is poor and labels curl up and drop off after a few days.

Don't you need to use, or shouldn't you use, tamperproof labels for asset ID & tracking?

Try Seton

Brother make tamper evident label tape for their P touch range , At a price though, about £30 for 8m
