Simple......the handle isnt going right up, it may seem it is but its stopping minutley short. The doors have moved out of sync with each other, either shrunk in the cold (very likely) and have moved apart from each other OR one or both have dropped.
Look for adjustment on your hinges for adjustment

Click to enlarge the middle picture to show how to adjust, check the vertical allen key and look at your hinge.
Pendulam hinge...http://www.dgsupplyline.co.uk/results.php?category_id=11&sub_category_id=80&range_id=397
Click to enlarge first picture, note the 2 phillips screws, these turn a quarter of a turn each way, turn both equally, these move the door back and forth
Butt hinge...http://www.dgsupplyline.co.uk/results.php?category_id=11&sub_category_id=80&range_id=232
Click to enlarge first picture, see those 2 silver hinge pins, these need turning by using a small allen key in top and bottom of each pin, be sure to loosen the little grub screws though, these stop the pins coming out so will stop them turning too, these hinges are quite old now and cr*p.
Hope some of this helps
