I'm gonna do a small path in my garden tomorrow, I have the all in ballast and cement and framework to complete the job

The path is only 2.5m long and approx 800mm wide.

What is the mix ratio for all in ballast to cement?

Also is it worth me putting in any reinforcement mesh?

I'm using B&Q all in ballast and its a seems very red in colour (hope my path dries a nice colour.

LOL

I actually did half the path on Sunday, used a dryer mix at the bottom and normal mix on top.

Its drying out now and has gone solid, I have sprayed the top with water a few times and kept covered.
What I have noticed is there looks like a shiny glaze on top of the concrete.

What is this?

Did you trowel the concrete smooth once it had firmed up or did you allow it to dry with a film of water on top? If you did the latter then it may dust-off.
