After numerous requests we have setup a new forum section that only registered gas fitters can access to discuss issues that aren't suitable for unqualified eyes to read!

The new section is free to use but to ensure only qualified gas fitters access the forum, members will be pre-approved.

So if you would like access, please complete the application form here.

PS if you are a retired gas fitter please contact me here for details on how to gain access.

The corgi/gas safe registration / serial numbers entered in order to gain access to the RGI only forum are kept private, only I see them in order to verify RGI status. If you really wanted to email it you could, but it doesn't make much difference to be honest.

As an aside, sometimes no checks/approvals are possible, if their website is down icon_sad.gif

Where is the combustion chamber forum? I have had the email saying I'm in but can only find plumbing & heating? I am pretty naf at IT but it seems impossibly difficult to find this forum and the supposed intellectual banter that supports it? Are you the administrator or a moderator? I have no idea how to get any help

I am in the process of completing my second year of the 6012 nvq in gas installation and maintainance, and will hopefully be getting registered in the summer. I do find the forum very helpful, and the gas section would be of huge benefit to me in my training. is there any way to sign up before registration or do i have to wait?

regards

At the time of writing (typing), all applications have been processed.

Iceter, I have just emailed you.

Abz, I see you're sorted now.

suntanneddude69, you need to enter your individual card license/serial number as well as your company no.

Peter, you were approved on Dec 6th, you should have received an email. You might want to check that the email address you provided is correct.

The Combustion Chamber should be on the list of available forums on the index page or go directly to the CC.

Hi, I filled out the page with my Gas Safe number, but got an email back saying my details couldn't be confirmed. I emailed back, and even forwarded the last registration conformation email Gas Safe sent me, but so far no reply from that and the combustion chamber still shows as a private forum. Pls can an Admin/Mod help ?

Thanks
Rick

Hi Rick, Can you re-submit the form, so that we can approve your account. I have checked the emails and it seems yours disappeared into the Spam box by mistake. If you re-submit the form, it will appear on our list again. Thanks.

Im gas safe engineer and have a problem with Vokera procombi 85he.
Boiler doesn't fire up( at hot water tap open or central heating on), fan working, no fault displayed. When I open combustion chamber or pull the flue elbow up can hear air switch click and boiler runs.
What it could be? Fan problem? Flue is ok
Thanks for help

As you've been directed already in the general part of the site, we only allow discussion on gas "work", in the CC section. Access to that is arranged after a manual check that you're Gas Safe Registered, which can take a couple of days.
Apologies for the delay, but it's worth the wait. icon_smile.gif

Use the link's in the first post of this thread. If there's some sort of problem email to admin@diynot.com . It is a manual process that sometimes takes a few days.
