hi guys, ive just fitted a new front door and inadvertently managed to snap the door contacts wires thus causing a tamper on my alarm which i now cannot set.any help please.

guardtec 300 alarm.

Triggering a tamper should not result in an inability to set the alarm if you have a 'force arm' option.

What has probably happened is you have shorted the wires and blown a fuse in the control panel.

You will need to either replace the cable and sensor wired up correctly or remove the wiring from within the panel and link the zone if necessary probably with a resistor.
