Very hot circulating pump

Our heating is working fine, boiler fires pump, rads get hot, but the circulating pump is very hot to the touch. Pipes either side are also very hot. Bled rads, circulating pump and valve next to hot water cyclinder but only a little air and then black water. Any ideas why its so hot?

the water in the system is around 75 deg so it is going to be hot

If your rads are nice and cosy too, then just kneel and give thanks.....especially if you have a condensing boiler!

Little concerned about the part were you said black water comes out.

Your CH water shouldn't be black, and will not last very long if left this way.

since its a closed system the circulating pump should be connected to the return pipe of the boiler meaning boiler temp is 80 c goes to radiators and hot water tank then circulating pump then boiler again usually the return line is 10 or 15 degrees less then ur supply temperature due to heat exchange the pump should be hot but u can touch it , if ur circulating pup is on the return line of the boiler make sure the pump circulating speed is slow this way ur efficiency goes higher and return pipe become less hot meaning ur pump is less hot

well i guess u dont want to learn how to adjust ur hot water system icon_razz.gif i guess i gave u lots of info usually u take this in mechanical engineering but since u did not understand anything why bother happy winter:)
