Yale HSA6400 no beep problem

i have just replaced a faulty Yale HSA6400 with the same one. installation of the new one went fine with no problems but when i come to arming or dis-arming the system only the control unit does the confirmation beeps and not the siren (lights still flash). where has on my old one it did.

Is this a problem or is it okay?

Its absolutely fine.

If your old system was beeping the siren too then you must have accidentaly changed one of the default settings.

If you go into the menu ie
PR - code - tick
devices - programm siren
you will then have the option in that list of 'confirm on' or 'confirm off'.

The default is confirm off.

If you want it to bleep simply select confirm on although personally I would leave it off and just have the control panels countdown as that is supported by mains recharging whereas your external siren isn't.
