concept system alarm, problem with keypad

does anyone know what to do if the buttons on the keypad do not work? will turning the power off reset the system????

Help please

Remove mains and battery , power up mains first , use your code to silence ... 0123 if it doesnt work.
 
Thank you for that but it didn't work, sorry to say if it helps the tamper light is on and now when we go into zones they light up, but the buttons still don't work. HELP please
 
You need to clear the tamper condition , close the panel lid first and press RESET see if it clears also check all detector lids.If not , put a link between the TAMPER connections , then the bell tamper (T + A).

There's a blown fuse in the panel or more likely a duff battery, when was it last replaced, should be done at least every 5yrs, bet that's the problem.
 
Sorry to sound thick but by panel you mean the bigger box away from the keypad? I'm not sure what's caused the tamper as all the indicators look fine. Could it be one of the smoke detectors as they've been playing up by going off in the cold!!!
 
Are smokes connected to the alarm?

Is the noise outside?

Can you clarify what your issue is.
