Scantronic 9448 problems

Hi folks,

Looking for a wee bit advice, our alarm is connected to a circuit which also has a cupboard light on it. When the bulb blew recently it tripped the circuit.

On putting the circuit back on the alarm sounded constantly and no matter which codes we put in it will not go off.

The power light is the only light which is lit on the panel and i have downloaded the manual and followed various steps in it but to no avail.

Any advice would be greatly received.

try this;

first off; try the default code 1234

if it don't work;

remove power from panel (mains)
open up the panel
remove the back up battery

power the panel up from the mains only,
enter the default code,
if it don't work

try your original code

if you have no joy with that, i have the suspician that your panel may have suffered an irrepairable fault

but try the above and see what happens.
